Pond Poem, Land Forms and Air Currents

The pond is breathing. Listen.
Can't you hear a slow, quiet exhalation with the rising morning mist? And some time later a strong intake of air as a breeze fans over the water?

This subtle in-and-in exchange may pass your notice, unless,
unless you pause
your texting,
your blah, blah, blah business talk,
your rush to end the day.

The pond breathes in and out.
The peepers start their evening calls.
Did you notice?
